Trends Audio TA-10 Amplifier Modifications

We don't want the RF getting into paces it should be, so lets put some copper around the coils and ground it. These were made from small sheets of thin copper bought at a craft store. Trimmed down, rolled and soldered on the ends. A small bit of wire grounds them to the board. Ground point is the negative end of the protection diodes. This pad is connected to the power ground plane. That way all the nasty RFI broadcast by the coils is drained to ground.

The tops were left open for air flow, not that it should be a big problem. Almost all the RF coming off the coils comes from the sides, so the top is not very important. Shield the top, it you like.
