SIGNAL/NOISE RATIO

Super-T Switch mode PSU vs B+K Precision 1660

This Graph shows the S/N ratio of the stock "line lump" switching PSU supplied with the Super-T amp and a lag grade B+K Precision linear PSU.
It is rather obvious that he lab supply has lower noise, especially above 350 Hz. The Super-T supply shows a large spike at 60 kHz, its switching frequency. Both supplies have low noise through the audio spectrum, about -120 dB. The S/N of the Super-T supply can be greatly improved by added a Panasonic FM cap or two near the load.
